BAKED PARMESAN TOMATOES

1 large tomato (beef tomatoes are best)

Worcestershire sauce

Tabasco sauce

2 strips bacon

3 Tbsp. grated parmesan cheese

3 Tbsp. plain bread crumbs

1 tsp. oil

 

Preheat gas oven to 375 degrees. Cut tomato in half. Wrap rim of each tomato half with uncooked bacon; secure with toothpicks. Drizzle drops of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce into each half.  Mix bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and olive oil. Pack a light layer of the parmesan/bread crumb  mixture on top of each tomato half. Bake until bread crumbs are slightly browned, about 10 minutes. Serves 2
