BANANA’S FOSTER FRENCH TOAST

3 slices Hawaiian bread

3 oz. French toast batter

½ each thinly sliced banana

3 oz. Banana’s Foster sauce

4 oz. whipped cream, divided

2 oz. pecan pieces

2 slices orange for garnish

 

Banana’s Foster Sauce:

1 lb. butter

1 lb. dark brown sugar

1 oz. orange liquer

2 oz. banana liquer

1 oz. vanilla

 

Whisk ingredients together.

 

French Toast Batter:

1 cup whipped eggs

½ cup half and half

1 Tbsp. vanilla

1 tsp. cinnamon

 

Whisk ingredients together.

 

Dip full slices of bread in French toast batter, allowing the batter to absorb without soaking the bread (approximately 4-5 seconds.) Transfer to a lightly buttered 350 degree griddle. Cook until both sides are golden brown (approximately 3-4 minutes per side.) Stack the slices on a cutting board and cut diagonally from corner to corner. Arrange on a plate in a pinwheel fashion. Evenly sprinkle the banana slices over the French toast slices. Ladle Banana’s Foster sauce over top. Add a dollop of whipped cream in the center. Sprinkle pecans over the whipped cream and French toast. Garnish with orange slices
