Ingredients

  • 8 oz. beef tenderloin
  • 1 portabello mushroom
  • 3/4 cup button mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup veal demi glace
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 Tbsp. roasted garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 piece puff pastry
  • 1 tsp. steak shake
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

Instructions

  1. Add butter and diced onion to a skillet over medium gas heat. Cook onion until translucent, then add flour. Cook for 3 minutes stirring often. Add beef broth, wine, roasted garlic, steak shake and mushrooms. Cook 5 minutes and add veal demi glace. Cook for two more minutes. Set aside. Cut tenderloin into 1 inch cubes. Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown on all sides. Add to baking dish and cover with mushroom gravy. Cover with puff pastry and bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.
