12 wooden skewers
½ cup dry vermouth
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup freshly grated ginger
1 clove garlic
36 large shrimp
2 Tbsp. olive oil
Chopped chives

Soak skewers in water for at least 30 minutes. Combine vermouth, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic in a bowl. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and marinate, 20 minutes to 1 hour. Preheat broiler with rack 5-6 inches away from heat. Drain shrimp and skewers; discard marinade. Thread shrimp on skewers and brush with oil, dividing evenly. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Broil, until cooked through, 2-3 minutes per side. Serve sprinkled with chives.
