Lemon Poppyseed Baked Doughnuts


Yellow cake mix (bought or homemade)

1 oz. poppyseeds

Juice of one lemon and zest

1 oz. lemon extract

Strawberry Sauce:

1 cup strawberries, sliced

¼ cup sugar

¼ cup water

Dash of lemon juice

½ vanilla bean


Add other ingredients to cake mix and prepare according to directions on the box. Bake in a doughnut pan for 15 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly brown.

Sauce: Saute strawberries and other ingredients until mixture thickens and strawberries thicken. Top doughnuts with fresh whipped cream and strawberry sauce.
